Abstracts

Instructions for Abstract Submission

Abstracts are welcome in all fields of laboratory medicine. Please note that abstract will be accepted only if the main author is registered to the Congress.

The deadline for abstracts is June 30, 2024

Authors will be notified by July 15, 2024 whether their abstract has been accepted or not. Accepted abstracts will be published.

Guidelines for abstract format:

All abstracts must be written in  English.

The abstract should be in MS Word in Times New Roman font size 12 pt with single line spacing for all abstract text. Please check the spelling and grammar carefully. It is the author’s responsibility to submit an abstract with the correct wording. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact in the abstract text will be reproduced exactly as typed by the author.

Abstracts should not include any graphics, the maximum number of characters is 2,500 including spaces. Title, authors and affiliations are not included in this number of characters.

The abstract structure:

  • Introduction
  • Aims and Objectives: description of the purpose of the study.
  • Materials and Methods: description of observations or experimental subjects.
  • Results: description of results in a logical sequence.
  • Conclusions: emphasis on important aspects of the study and conclusions drawn from them.

Guidelines for e-posters

Please prepare your thesis in an electronic poster format according to the following requirements:

  1. File Format: PDF (preferred), PPT, PPTX, or JPEG.
  2. Dimensions: 122 cm wide by 91 cm tall (landscape orientation).
  3. Resolution: Minimum of 300 DPI.
  4. Content:
    • Title at the top
    • Author names and affiliations
    • Introduction/Abstract
    • Objectives/Aims
    • Methods
    • Results with supporting data
    • Discussion/Conclusion
    • References
    • Acknowledgments (if applicable)
  5. Font and Text:
    • Title: 72-100 pt
    • Section headers: 36-48 pt
    • Body text: 24-36 pt
  6. Graphics and Images:
    • High-quality images, charts, and graphs
    • Captions for all visuals
  7. Color Scheme: Consistent and visually appealing with 2-3 primary colors.
  8. File Size: Less than 10 MB.
  9. File Naming: Include your name and the title of your thesis in the file name.
